Day One
30 Day Song Challenge
This is a thing I found on Facebook that looked like fun. I thought Substack, in particular The Producer, would be a much better place than Facebook to play this out. I meant to start it out on February 1 with it going on thru March 2, since there are only 28 days this month, but I didn’t get a chance to start it on Sunday, so I’m going to do two days’ worth today. When the 30 days are up, I’m going to do a final post with a Spotify playlist of all my songs.
And of course, this IS a challenge, so I’m challenging YOU, dear reader, to take it, too. Leave me a comment on each post with your particular song of the day, or take it a step further and do your own Substack post and tag me in it! I’d love to see what songs you think of.
So here’s Day One: A song you like with a color in the title.
For my colorful song I chose Green Eyes by Coldplay. Having green eyes myself, I’ve always lamented the lack of songs about it, but Coldplay came to the rescue with this song from their album A Rush of Blood to the Head. I’ve always loved it, and I think it represents us green-eyed beauties quite well.
Honorable mentions: Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan was the second song I thought of, and my daughter Miranda’s first thought was Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra (kinda makes me feel like I’m raising her right).
So tell me, what’s yours? Let me know in the comments! Subscribe so you don’t miss a day, and follow me, Kristen Malcolm, so you get to see all the other stuff I share on Substack outside of The Producer.
